What residual materials are there in the industry, and how can they be used so thatthey do not become waste? These were some of the questions I sought answers toin the Textile Symbiosis Herning project, which the Lifestyle & DesignCluster is behind.
Through my work in the project, I have made new material combinations from leftover materials. Among these are various molded materials using yarn scraps, white polyester scraps that have been renewed with digital printing and textiles madefrom polyester and yarn scraps that are fused together.
The project ended with various prototypes of acoustic panels and lampshades, which I want to refine, complete and then test.
Through the project, I entered collaboration with the three companies MP Denmark, Konfair and Denwood by Horn, who all supplied me with materials. I also used sublimationprint sponsored by Epson.
